The challenge is open to all residents of Kano State aged 18 and above. We welcome individuals, teams, startups, and organizations with innovative solutions to local challenges. Participants must be able to demonstrate their connection to Kano State.
We accept innovations across all sectors including agriculture, education, healthcare, technology, renewable energy, waste management, and more. The key requirement is that the innovation addresses a specific challenge faced by Kano State communities or has potential for significant economic impact.
Winners will receive cash prizes ranging from ₦500,000 to ₦3,000,000 depending on the category and impact potential. Beyond funding, winners gain access to mentorship, business development support, networking opportunities, and potential investment connections.
Submissions are evaluated based on four key criteria: Originality & Novelty (30%), Impact & Value Proposition (30%), Feasibility & Practicality (25%), and Clarity of Presentation (15%). A panel of expert judges from various fields conducts the evaluation through multiple stages.
Yes, you may submit multiple innovations, but each must be submitted as a separate entry with its own complete application. However, we recommend focusing on your strongest innovation to ensure the highest quality submission.
